I have a cherry bomb glass pack that'd be a direct fit. Every exhaust shop in town wants $120-140 to do it, which is retardedly over priced. I have a auto shop at school but my teacher doesn't want to weld it on for me but he'll let me use the shop (warm and dry!) to install the muffler with band clamps. Hell, bring it here. I'll weld it on for you for a 12 pack of Bud. I just removed the Flowmaster off my truck and welded on a Cherry Bomb in the driveway this past spring. I did have to goto the auto parts store and buy a 12' adapter and cut it to 7' as the CB is shorter. But the whole thing still didn't take me an hour. I don't do the prettiest welds in the world, but it don't leak and it ain't going anywhere, LOL. I can't believe shops are gonna charge you that kinda money for a simple cut/weld job. I got a buddy about 60 miles away from me who was gonna drive over so I could weld a muffler on for him, but had his local Meineke shop do it for $40. He figured it worked out cheaper than to lose half a day to drive over here and with the gas and all it was easier to just do it there in a half hour. Hell, bring it here. Lol, i went to parts source today and got some clamps and i sawzall off a friend. I guess i'll do it today in my driveway or tomorrow morning in my schools auto shop. U bolt style clamps have worked on millions of vehicles for millions of miles. EBook free PDF download on Thermodynamics An Engineering Approach by Yunus A. Cengel Michael A.Boles. If you are talking about these; they are probably not the way to go, I doubt they would stand dragging it over a rock. (If you have to ask the question.). You're wrong. Band clamps work just fine. They come two ways: one for overlapped joints, one for butt joints. Get the right one for your application. Thsy beat the hell out of ubolts for the simple reason that they do NOT deform the pipes. ![]() I'd never use ubolts again on an exhaust system; makes replacing wear items nearly impossible. A band clamp and a pipe that ISN'T deformed, muffler swap can be done in literally 10 minutes. If you DRAG a muffler over a rock, the muffler is installed in the wrong place. I'd rip my rear driveshaft off before my muffler touched a rock. If you DRAG a muffler over a rock, the muffler is installed in the wrong place. Cisco air lap521g a k9 manual lymphatic drainage. I'd rip my rear driveshaft off before my muffler touched a rock. My muffler broke off, it looks like it may have been snagged. Mayb it took a hit and then got snagged? I have belly up and a little flow master, it is about as out of the way as you can get it. I am just going to clamp ( I am going to check into those band clamps) on a pipe so the exhaust will run out behind the jeep, no more muffler. You're wrong. Band clamps work just fine. I tear parts of the exhaust off every couple of years, and they are welded together except at the cat. I sincerely doubt that band clamps will hold as well as welding, I use ubolt clamps only for fuses to determine where the exhaust system will likely come apart when confronted by irresistible forces (its cheaper to replace a $25 muffler and remake the exhaust pipe than to replace the entire exhaust).
